MANIFEST: THE CONSECRATION - A live recording experience by PENSA Legon happening on 17th July.
There are moments in our walk with God as people of God when He calls us back to a
place of deeper surrender, devotion and intimacy with Him. Yes, moments when we
realize that our walk with God is not just about attending services, enjoying activities or
singing songs but about being a sacrifice of praise; giving our all, our whole lives to God.
This is the heart behind MANIFESTING THE CONSECRATION.
I believe this is more than just a program. And it is more than a live recording. It is a call
for us as students, Christians and a generation to return to the place of surrender, worship
and complete dedication to God. Because consecration is more than a moment. It must be
our lifestyle.
Consecration is from the Greek word Hagiazō (to sanctify, make holy, set apart). This is
the word connected to consecration. It means: To set apart for a holy purpose, to dedicate
something or someone to God, to make holy, to treat as sacred. It also means we making
the decision to place our lives, dreams, talents, abilities and future in God’s hands and
allowing Him to use us for His glory. And throughout the Scriptures, we can see that
whenever God was about to do something significant, He called His people into a place
of consecration.
Even before the Israelites experienced God’s presence at Mount Sinai, God instructed
Moses: "And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today
and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes." Exodus 19:10 (KJV)
So, before they encountered God in a deeper way, they had to prepare themselves and
separate themselves unto Him. That is to say, before the manifestation of God’s presence
there must be preparation and separation (Consecration).
Also, when Joshua was leading the children of Israel into the Promised Land, he
declared:
"Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you. Joshua 3:5
(KJV). Again, before the manifestation came, there was consecration. People of God, the
same call continues to us today as well. Apostle Paul writes: "I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
Romans 12:1 (KJV)
God is still looking for people who will surrender completely to Him. Yes, people who
will not only sing about His greatness but will also live lives that reflect Him.
And through MANIFEST: THE CONSECRATION, we desire to create an atmosphere
where worship, creativity, and spiritual expression come together to glorify God. We
must understand that the live recording is not just about producing songs by the Heralds
of praise or enjoying drama from the PENSA Literally Society NOO. It is about
capturing moments of encounter, surrender and transformation.
As students on campus, we must come to the understanding that life comes with many
opportunities, pressures and decisions that shape our future. But in the midst of
everything, God is calling us to be a people that stands for Him, carries His presence and
represents His kingdom wherever we go. Because, a consecrated people understands that
their education, careers, relationships and the future are not just for themselves but can
become instruments in the hands of God.
Paul reminded Timothy: "If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a
vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use and prepared unto every good
work."
2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV). So, a vessel becomes useful when it is prepared and dedicated for
the master's purpose. Therefore, MANIFESTING THE CONSECRATION is our
declaration as a generation. And it is our response to God’s call that: “Lord, set us apart.
Fall afresh on us. Break us, melt us, mold us, fill us. Shape us and use us for Your glory.”
Through the Ministration of The Heralds of Praise, and the PENSA LEGON Literary
Society, we are bringing together worship, music, and creative expression to point hearts
back to God and remind ourselves of the power of a life fully surrendered to Him.
So, on 17th July, we invite you to join us as we gather to worship, surrender, and
encounter God. Just don’t be there as a spectator but be there to encounter. Let’s go with
expectations. Let’s go with an open heart. Let’s be ready for God to work in us.
Because, people of God when a generation chooses consecration, God releases
manifestation.
