The PENSA Legon prayer department is a unit of the church that focuses on the spiritual growth, maturity, and fortification of its members. In this department, emphasis is placed on teaching members the art of prayer and fellowship with God, not downplaying other keen spiritual exercises like the teaching and preaching of the word, the need to cultivate a personal devotional life, and also fellowshipping with the brethren. The department is headed by the prayer secretary and then appointed shepherds. The unit holds departmental meetings on specific designated days—Tuesdays and Fridays, to be precise. Tuesdays are dedicated mostly to teachings and Bible studies, and Fridays are usually used for prayer stretches.
