Missions 2025 – Thoughts from the Evangelism Secretary
Theme: I Have Come That You May Have Life
Text: John 10:10 | Mark 10:49
As the Evangelism Secretary of PENSA Legon, I am humbled and excited to share our heart and vision for Missions 2025—a journey that promises to be more impactful, more intense, and more life-giving than we have ever experienced. Year after year, we have committed ourselves to the mandate of the Great Commission, and this year, under the theme "I Have Come That You May Have Life", we press forward with renewed faith, deeper conviction, and greater expectation.
Jesus declares in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” In a world where spiritual darkness, confusion, hopelessness, and despair are rampant, we believe that Jesus still brings life, and not just any life, but abundant, eternal, transformative life. That is the life we are carrying to the field. We are not going just to speak; we are going to deliver the reality of the risen Christ. We are going with a message that can heal, a message that restores identity, a message that rescues souls from the grip of death into the arms of life.
This year's missions will take us to the Amrahia Area, which comprises eleven districts, and by God’s grace, we plan to cover every single one of them. We’re also believing God to open new districts through the evangelistic work that will be done. The field is vast, the opportunities are countless, and the urgency is great. We are trusting God for open doors in communities and hearts we’ve never reached before. More than just visiting, we desire to establish a presence of life and light—a lasting spiritual impact in every place our feet touch.
The second scriptural pillar anchoring this mission is Mark 10:49, where Jesus says concerning blind Bartimaeus, "Call him.” In this moment, Jesus stood still because a desperate soul was crying out, and He commanded that the man be brought to Him. This is our burden—we are the ones echoing Christ’s call: “Take heart. Rise. He is calling you.” We believe many in Amrahia are like Bartimaeus—blind to truth, broken by life, silenced by the crowd. We go as the voice that awakens the called. We go as messengers, pointing them to the Savior who stops for them. It is not enough to host events or preach sermons. We are going to call men into the very life of God.
Looking back, previous missions have been marked by the supernatural—souls won, lives transformed, communities reached, and students ignited with a passion for evangelism. But Missions 2025 is different. It carries a heavier spiritual weight. There is an urgency in the Spirit. A fresh wind is blowing. God is calling us to go further, to dig deeper, and to believe for greater. We are not just doing what we've done before—we are yielding to something new God is doing through us.
What makes this even more special is the overwhelming response we are already seeing from our members. There's a fresh fire among us. Members are praying, preparing, and positioning themselves to be used by God. And yet, as we stand at the edge of something so great, we recognize the value of those who have gone ahead of us—our cherished alumni. You have carried the burden in your time, and your impact still speaks. We humbly and sincerely invite you to partner with us once more—with your prayers, your counsel, your resources, and your presence.
We need you. This mission is bigger than all of us, and your involvement will be a blessing beyond what words can measure. Together, we can raise another generation of soul-winners and help bring life to countless others in the Amrahia Area and beyond.
Missions 2025 is a divine deployment. A prophetic response to a dying world. We go with the gospel of life. We go with the power of the Holy Spirit. We go because He has come—and through us, they too may have life.
May all glory be to God.
