PENSA Legon Alumni Homecoming Week
The Alumni Homecoming Week at PENSA Legon was a spirit-filled, impactful, and unforgettable celebration that brought together past and present members of the fellowship under one united banner. Spanning an entire week, the event was marked by daily activities aimed at reconnecting alumni, enriching current members, and reinforcing the shared vision of building both spiritual and social legacy within the body of Christ.
Family Meetings (Monday)
The week commenced with intimate Family Meetings across the various PENSA Legon family groupings. These meetings served as a platform for members to bond, share testimonies, and pray together. A special highlight of the evening was the virtual and in-person participation of alumni at each family center. Their presence added a rich layer of history, encouragement, and mentorship as they shared personal experiences and insights from their time in PENSA.
Departmental Meetings (Tuesday)
Tuesday was dedicated to Departmental Meetings, providing an opportunity for ministry-specific growth and interaction. Departments including Choir, Ushering, Prayer, Evangelism, and others held focused sessions with current members and alumni. Alumni contributions came in the form of teachings, shared experiences, and practical advice on service and excellence in ministry. This intergenerational exchange reinforced the values of continuity and excellence in leadership.
Midweek Service – A Night of Worship (Wednesday)
The midweek service on Wednesday was an electrifying Night of Worship, graced by guest ministers including Min. Christiana Atafuah, a proud PENSA Legon alumna. The atmosphere was charged with the presence of God as both alumni and current members joined in a powerful session of praise, worship, and prayer. Testimonies and musical ministrations filled the auditorium, making it a night to remember.
A Night with Our Fathers (Thursday)
Thursday brought a deeply insightful session themed “A Night with Our Fathers”. This gathering featured revered alumni who have excelled in their respective professional and ministerial fields. They shared on critical life skills including social networking, mentorship, and navigating career and calling. It was an evening of wisdom and direction as the fathers imparted timeless truths to guide the next generation.
Climax and Thanksgiving Service (Sunday)
The weeklong celebration was climaxed on Sunday with a powerful Thanksgiving Service. The guest speaker for the day, Pastor Paul Adzigbli, delivered a stirring sermon that called both alumni and students to deeper commitment and service in the kingdom. It was a day of gratitude, reflection, and celebration of what God has done through the PENSA Legon family.
In a remarkable show of support, the alumni from the organizing department donated a brand new pulpit to the church. Furthermore, they initiated and contributed to a fundraising effort in support of the church building project, demonstrating their continued investment in the vision of the fellowship.
The PENSA Legon Alumni Homecoming Week was not just a time of reunion, it was a celebration of legacy, spiritual renewal, and purposeful giving. The active involvement of alumni throughout the week highlighted the enduring impact of PENSA Legon in shaping lives for Christ and society. As we look ahead, we remain committed to building on this strong foundation for generations to come.
